

Nominating a hero is free and can be done quickly and easily online. The nominee must live, work, or the heroic act of courage or kindness must have occurred in one of the following counties: Waupaca, Outagamie, Brown, Kewaunee, Door, Waushara, Winnebago, Calumet, Manitowoc, Marquette, Green Lake, Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Oconto and Marinette in Wisconsin and Delta, Dickinson, and Menominee in Michigan. Honorees will be celebrated across 6 categories: Adult Hero, Emergency Response Hero, From the Heart (Biomedical) Hero, Military Hero, Youth Hero (age 18 or younger), and Animal Hero.

Your hero could be a colleague, family member, neighbor or friend who performed a selfless act of bravery or improved their community. We’re asking for the public’s help to identify individuals and groups that are deserving of recognition for their positive impact. We will honor individuals in Northeast Wisconsin who have shown courage, dedication and unselfish character by their acts of heroism at a post-golf heroes recognition program. This event helps to provide funds to assist families who may have lost everything in a fire or other disaster, offer life-saving CPR training, collect lifesaving blood, and help military members and their families get the assistance they need. One of the ways in which the Red Cross of Northeast Wisconsin accomplishes this mission is through our annual golf outing and a heroes recognition program. The mission of the Red Cross is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. This fun-filled day will be a mix of in-person golf, a silent auction, a heroes recognition program focused on recognizing and inspiring community heroes and will provide engagement that benefits the mission of the Red Cross.
