Too much is being launched too soon, and with too little consideration of whether it should be.įorget tech luminaries such as Elon Musk calling for an ethical pause in the development of technologies they are already profiting from – Musk is concurrently hiring AI experts to build an “anti-woke” chatbot. Since ChatGPT hit the headlines at the end of last year, the development and wider interest in AI has been off the charts, and we are now at the stage where people outside the tech industry bubble need to stage an intervention. Snapchat recently joined the rush of companies announcing AI chat features based on GPT-4, essentially experimenting on its audience to fine tune an initially dangerous product. But if there is any justice, then at least some power in the boot up its backside came from those disdaining its recent AI dalliances. The reason for the dramatic sell-off in shares of the teenage attention hog app was mainly down to more prosaic performance issues, like its first revenue fall since going public in 2017, and concerns about changes to its advertising. As for the Hoodstormer, I think because it serves the exact same purpose, we keep it in the Hoodstormer page.If Snapchat hoped its recent push into the generative artificial intelligence realm would add the necessary glitter to its investor story, then a share price plunge of nearly 20 per cent following the release of disappointing quarterly earnings on Friday showed that investors are no fools. If you check the Hoodlum page, you'll find I already started making the Shielded Hoodboom page. iHeckler9 14:15, 22 February 2011 (UTC)Ĭertainly, but not enough to consider them Spinneroos, don't you think? How we're gonna deal with the shielded Hoodbooms and the Hoodstormers in R3 GBA remains to be seen. Really? To me, they bear a resemblance to a Spinneroo. The flying Grims are just an early version of those that can be found in the game, so I added them to both the Grim and Grim Keeper articles, and I would recommend creating a new article for the Siamese Hoodlum, as it bears no resemblance to any other of its kind. But what do we call the Siamese Hoodlum? And where do we put the flying Grims? - iHeckler9 10:10, 22 February 2011 (UTC) While those throwing explosive bottles of plum juice at Rayman could be referred to as Armoured Hoodbooms, I would tend to privilege the appellation Armoured Slapdashes for those wielding the sticks with boxing gloves, since their resemblance to Grim Keepers is purely visual. Haruka 20:16, 21 February 2011 (UTC) As I said earlier, I think there should be separate articles (or at least separate sections) for those enemies.

Your thoughts are more correct about the Hoodbooms, especially a specific Hoodboom that uses a metal shield. I can guarantee you that around 90% of the Grim Keepers colours when compared with the in-game R3 (GBA) and the official artwork are equal. I think it's just a Slapdash with a slightly different look. Conclusion: Hoodlums do not stick to their main battle strategies. You should look well: it is clearly a Grim Keeper (his clothes and the "half-coconut helmet"). Those look like different-coloured Slapdashes to me. iHeckler9 19:59, 21 February 2011 (UTC) I don't see what the confusion is about.

I go by this example: If a F1 pilot runs with a F1 car it doesn't mean he cannot drive a normal car or a bike. Something tells me we should go for the visuals. Both are remeniscent of Grim Keepers, but they both have completely different attacks. Would we go for the visual representation or the weapons used? - Haruka 19:45, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
#Slapdash examples how to#
I'm not sure how to name these specific Hoodlums from the portable Rayman 3 because they have the visual of an "x" Hoodlum type, but they use attack/defense tecniques from "y" Hoodlum types. This would also give a good home to that Siamese-Hoodlum. I think those Hoodlums should either be put into both pages or made into a lifeless edit at the bottom of the Hoodlum page. Check the video at the bottom of this page. Do you have any screenshots? - Spiraldoor 19:37, 21 February 2011 (UTC) I would suggest creating a specific article for those enemies, even though I'm not sure which name to give them. I don't remember the enemies you're describing. Can the Hoodlums that run with a glove in the tip of a wooden bar in the portable version of Rayman 3 be considered as Slapdashes? Or Grim Keepers but with a Slapdash weapon? - Haruka 19:33, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
