As they decompose, they will act as a natural fertilizer - returning nutrients and organic matter back to the soil and increasing the health and resilience of your growing lawn. If your grass clippings are less than an inch in length, leave them. If you mow regularly, you can cut down on time spent doing yard chores by leaving the grass clippings where they lay.
Reduce your environmental footprint by grasscycling. Mulch and other materials are available for sale at the Yard Waste Facility. If the address on the ID is not current or valid, the customer will be required to also supply a current document, such as a utility bill or lease agreement, proving residency. Material must be delivered to the facility by a member of the household and a government-issued photo ID is required. Households within the city limits of Rogers may drop off allowed yard waste material at the Yard Waste Facility at no charge. Brush, limbs, or tree trunks (root balls and tree stumps are not accepted. Please call LRS at 47 to schedule pick-up for your filled yard waste bags. Bags are available for purchase from Garner Building Supply located at 125 E. To use this program, citizens must purchase brown paper yard waste bags for $2 each.
